Holy Moly!

I am a little giddy, so please forgive me if this post is scattered.  I received word yesterday that my poetry manuscript, Learning to Tell Time, has won the Midnight Sun Chapbook Contest from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.  They'll be publishing the book this year, and they'll also be including two poems from it in their journal, Permafrost.  The great image above is their Permafrost logo.  This came on the heels of a pretty incredible writing week for me; to say I am happy is a bit of an understatement.

Yesterday was a fun day of art and friends at the Western Ave. Studios open house.  I'll post about that later tonight or tomorrow--cool artists and a lots of inspiration!  I'm off to revel in literary joy for a little bit longer.
