One of my favorite museums is London's Victoria & Albert, one of the great design museums of the world. Right now they are hosting a wonderful project that invites anyone anywhere of any age to create patterns on the beach and then post them on the V&A's World Beach Project site. The only rule is that the patterns must be made of beach stones and nothing else. The project site has an interactive map that allows you to see the designs created by everyone who is participating in the project. Some of my favorites are the ones made by kids. Below are just a few that I especially like. Happy beach combing days, my friends!

Of course, the heart stole the show for me. So simple and sweet as well as the exact same thing I do when I go to the beach...make a heart in the sand or with pebbles!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a delightful time!
I love V&A too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea, I love all the pictures, it's so great what you can do with just pebbles.

ReplyDeleteOh, my! I really, really love stuff like this. I get so enamoured of people who create beauty just to do it. Even if it's fleeting. Even anonymously. I just love that.
