Home Truth

Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros - Home (Rough Trade East, 21st Aug 2009)

My honey and I are in search of a new home.  Wow.  What an adventure.  The one truth I know is that, no matter the walls, no matter the street, no matter the trees or tire swings or cabinet hinges, wherever he is is home to me.

Hope you are happy and at home wherever you are this week.  Take a listen to and a gander of the above song for a lift.

  7. We LOVE this song in our house! And even though I live in my dream home, there are times I have to remind myself of it. Like in the depths of Winter!

What an exciting adventure for you!

  8. "Home is where I long to be, but I guess I'm already there." What fun you'll have searching, with an entire blogging universe out here to take an interest in what you find.

  14. I hope this is a fun adventure for you Gigi...I have such mixed feelings about moving from my home...it is now too large for me and Mr O but whenever we start looking at smaller, more convenient, places...well we can always find something wrong with them:) Good Luck! ..and thank you for introducing me to this song...Lovely!

  15. Awwww... You are leaving your beautiful loft? Is this good news? Hmmm... I'm thinking of you just now. Well, I was thinking of you before, but now I am a little bit worried.

Shaking it off now. This song makes me smile. You always introduce me to good stuff. Thanks for that.

I was actually just dropping in to wish you and yours the happiest Independence Day. May your day be full! May you enjoy laughter shared with family, great food shared with friends, fireworks to make you gasp, a lump in your throat at the anthem, and a full and grateful heart at all we have been given. Happy Fourth of July, my friend!
