Almost Sunset










I shot these at the community gardens at Gilsland Farm the other night.  The sun was sinking and the gardens were awash in golden light.  

Much to report here, but I'm off to meet an old friend for lunch, so I'll check back in soon with news, recipes, and musings.  I hope you're having a creative and rewarding week.  I've become a little addicted to Pinterest.  Anyone else?  If so, please let me know, so I can follow your pin boards!

    You have captured my favorite part of the day Gigi. It's when we take Daisy for a walk over to the gold course, the light is beautiful (and cooler). yes, I follow you on Pinterest, been addicted for months. It is a fun thing to do while having my morning coffee outside on the veranda. Starts the day nicely. Much love XO

    I am on pinterst and follow you but I don't do it often...guess I have trouble seeing the point too...I just keep clicking photos that I like....

    Interesting! I have always been a person who tears images out of magazines and keeps inspiration files. Now that almost all of my favorite magazines are gone, I no longer do it, so Pinterest has replaced my inspiration files. I also use it to gather recipes I love and ideas for projects I want to try. Instead of bookmarking whole websites, I keep pins that I can return to for specific things. I've already started using it for trying out recipes, and I love it.

    I'm also daydreaming about how I want to decorate our next house, so all the images I find that I love go here. I've even got a pin board for possible color schemes. Yep, I love it. :)

    No, I'm not yet active on Pinterest. The time is an issue here. It takes already much time to read and comment on others' blogs and to write my own.

    Gorgeous photos! What is it with pintrest that has captures so many people's attention? Why does it need to feed into your Facebook account? Just curious, as I have gotten several invites; but guess I am doing something wrong so never get on.

    Good questions, Marilyn. I think what I like is that it leads me to places on the internet I probably would not otherwise find, and I discover some pretty interesting and inspiring things along the way.

    I don't think you have to use your facebook account to sign in, but you can, if you want to.

    thanks for sharing the lovely pics. it makes me want to go out and work in my "what will be a rambling garden", except it's dark and nighttime outside here right now and only about 10degrees celcius.! Jane x

    The Golden Hour...Twilight...Dawn...my favorite times of day. Soft light, subtle values, and rich jewel hues beg attention,insisting that be still and linger to gain succor.
