A visit home to Maine,
a lot of gardening at Mum's,
a lot of good cooking and eating
(like jalapeno shrimp with lime and cilantro on the grill),
Bananagrams,
bargains at the Montsweag Flea
and Reny's,
snapping a few good shots,
thinking a few good thoughts,
penning a few good words,
taking one good, long walk.
Thanks to Skeletal Mess for the old paper texture in photos 1 & 2
and to Kim Klassen for the grubbify texture in photos 1 & 3.
Fab photos Gigi and my kids love seeing the bikes on your header.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lorna! Those bikes belong to my brother down in South Carolina, and we ride them along the beach there. There's nothing more fun!
ReplyDeletegreat shots and the making of a wonderful weekend for sure

Love the keys - there's a bit of mystery to them. What do they open? Do they still work? What's behind the door?
ReplyDeleteTime with family...always a great restorative! LOVE these photos from your happy weekend, Gigi. :o) ((HUGS))
ReplyDelete"A visit home to Maine..."
ReplyDeleteWhat a sentence!
Lucky you. :)

Bananagrams? And image 3 holds the attention - it has such an air of someone going someplace good, and it doesn't matter how long it takes to get there.
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos! :) Sounds like a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh your processing has turned these images into something very nostelgic, which is how one should feel when going home.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely, I hope you had a wonderfl weekend.
What a fabulous weekend, Gigi...it sounds so relaxing! Beautiful photos! Have a gorgeous day! xxoo :)
ReplyDeleteDear Gigi,
ReplyDeleteSounds as if you had a great time away....good food and catching up....what could be nicer ?
Fabulous photos as well, such lovely textures. XXXX
Oh yes, blissful. Bananagrams. Hmmm... I'm intrigued.
ReplyDeleteBananagrams is a word game that is highly addictive. Think Scrabble without the board. It has become the game of choice in our house, and it's fun for kids to play, too. They find it a lot less frustrating than Scrabble because it is very fast paced. If you like games like Scrabble or Boggle, you'll LOVE this game!
ReplyDeleteI'm in for bananagrams then too! Need mind games like this for homeschooling ;-) Here was me thinking it was something you ate with the jalapeno lime shrimp!!

Love all the photos, especially the one of your husband, but my favorite is: A visit home to Maine. Pure poetry.
ReplyDeleteHow funny........I was going to ask you about those bikes in your header today and there is the answer. Gorgeous photos Gigi, the one of your husband is a keeper and I bet he likes it too. How come no one told me about blogging in the dark? This is a case of I will have What She is Having, if writing at night makes those wonderful words of yours come out easier.....then I am in! Sounds like you had the perfect weekend. Much love XO
